After giving birth to my daughter, I noticed myself photographing moments & memories differently.
I yearned for simplicity and authenticity in the images I captured. Nothing trendy, nothing bold, nothing overly posed or manufactured.
I yearned to freeze time and capture her little fingers and those chubby thigh rolls and that little space on the back of her neck I loved to kiss. I yearned to capture her milestones and firsts, like holding her head up high during tummy time, sitting up all by herself, and standing to peek over the sides of her crib.
I tried to avoid elaborate outfits and big bows and focus on my tiny girl in all her natural perfection. I wanted photos that would someday evoke the memories of how delightful she smelled and how impossibly soft her skin was and how those wispy little hairs on her head felt beneath my lips when I kissed them.
All of these things, to me, are (natural) Babyhood, and I want to bottle it up for my clients, too, in timeless portraiture you’ll cherish always.

Please note: Babyhood sessions are booked for ages three months and up. I provide a studio wardrobe of beautiful boutique pieces through size 18 months, and a few select girl pieces through 5T are also available for siblings. All wardrobe fits within the aesthetic of JNP Babyhood - see examples below. (All baby outfits shown are part of the studio wardrobe) Come to your session ready to browse the rack!
Plain white diapers through size 5 are also provided for those squishy, diaper-only shots..

$650 + 8.25% sales tax
~$99 family segment add-on (family or sibling photos added to the session)
Babyhood sessions are booked beginning at three months of age.

Includes:
~ Session planning via email and/or phone
~ Boutique wardrobe selection in sizes 3 to 18 months
~ An approximately one hour studio shoot
~ Professional retouching of at least 40 of the best images from your session (minimum 50 with family segment).
~ Gallery app for your smart phone
*Add a custom wood flash drive for $25
Your high-resolution, retouched photos are delivered in an online, downloadable gallery through which you may conveniently order prints and other products (if you so choose). To reserve your shoot date, I require a $250 deposit and my signed e-contract - start the process here on the contact page!
