Top 19 Images Of 2019 ~ Austin Newborn Family Photographer

The end is near, the end is near! Of 2019, that is, and you know what? Good riddance to it, because 2020 just sounds so much cooler! I did, however, have a lot of really amazing clients in 2019, and I decided to round up my top 19 shots of the year—which proved impossible—so below you will find my top 19 with 28 honorable mentions… hehe. I could honestly choose a “top” image from each session and darn-well nearly did decide to, but I’m going bleary-eyed here, and I’m overwhelmed with all your beautifulness, and so here we are. Enjoy a few highlights of 2019!

#1 - This is a total cheat because it’s a photo of my daughter, which maybe shouldn’t count, but it IS my(intensely biased) top favorite shot of the year, and I DID snap and edit the photo for a JNP ad, and I DO have a giant canvas of it in my home. So I hope that means it’s allowed to be my #1.

#2 - Cheating again, because #2 is two completely different images that are TIED for #2, but hey. I make the rules here.

I snapped these two photos of the same mama in the same spot, exposed and edited differently, and just couldn’t decide which I loved more. Friends of JNP couldn’t decide either, because I posted the question on social media and the responses were split right down the middle.

#3 - One of my favorite daddy shots of all time, of our very own UT alum/star NFL football player Earl Thomas and his oldest daughter. Swoon.

#4 - This picture of a smiling ginger baby with his fur sibling and her sparkly toenails. I mean.

#5 - And speaking of dogs and babies, here’s another cute pair. Second shot is an honorable mention, because even bloopers can be hilariously awesome.

#6 - Switching gears here - a favorite shot from 2019 Motherhood Mini Sessions. Perfection.

#7 - My 2019 second most-liked client photo on Insta. (only recently bumped by a coming Top 19 photo below!) And I can’t blame you all for “liking” this stunning family. Perfectly styled as always, and at my most popular mini session location of the year (a beautiful pecan grove!).

#8 - Soulful newborn baby eyes. This little man was precious.

#9 - I so enjoyed this couple and their beautiful maternity session. That baby in there is the cute red-head a few posts up!

#10 - Including this one because damn, that’s a perfect family portrait.

#11 - I got to photograph these cute twins all throughout their first year, culminating in this sweet session around their birthday. I think the peekaboo is pretty darn adorable.

#12 - Saw this art piece in my client’s home, and simply could not resist.

Lucky #13 - There’s something so peaceful, sweet, and timeless about this precious shot of a mama and her newborn boy.

#14 - These siblings are always good for a joyful tickle shot. LOVE.

#15 - Speaking of joyful tickle shots, here’s another one! This family was a dream.

#16 - I don’t think this shot really requires a caption. Just CHEEKS. EYES. HAIR. SQUISH.

#17 - Cute kiddies and an awesome old truck. What’s not to love?

#18 - A smiling baby wearing a Santa hat. JACKPOT.

And #19 - My Instagram most-liked photo of the year! Humanity, I have faith in you.

And now for a few honorable mentions! This list could have been quadruple the length and then some, but alas. I have a dishwasher to unload.
